It seems as if the true Arnold fans often avoid this
newsgroup. We get the spammers, hawking ****d pictures of
Brittany or Paris Hilton videos, ***** extenders, or
fast-buck makers: "MAKE $20,000 IN TWO SECONDS VIA EMAIL!
IT'S EASY!"
But are there any fans out there? Anyone with a brain?
I just picked up a copy of _True Myths: The Life and Times
of Arnold Schwarzenegger - From Pumping Iron to Governor of
California_ written by Nigel Andrews.
Just reading the title is like bench pressing 315. Okay,
okay, I wouldn't know about benching six plates, but I am an
Arnold fan. Here's someone who at 18 had nothing and now is
governing the state of Keelifoorneeya. :-)
Less than 300 pages, with a few black and white pictures -
many of which we've all already seen, and movie info that
we've already read. Still, the book packs bits of many
interviews with people who've worked with Arnold as well as
quotes from Arnold's friends. Plus the book ends with info
on T3 and his successful campaign for governor.
It's an interesting read.
