Singer, band leader, and sax player Louis Jordan (not to be confused
with classy actor Louis Jourdan, who I suspect you know better, Sally)
had
a hit in the 1940s with Caldonia (the chorus of which is "Caldonia!
Caldonia! What makes your big head so hard?"). "Beans and Cornbread"
is another LJ song. In recent decades, there was a Broadway show
built around his songs, including one that provided the title of the
show,
"Five Guys Named Moe". Fun music, especially when the weather
heats up.
