Why should they have a conscience? TV isn't forced into our homes. It 
isn't a needed staple for our daily lives. It's clearly a choice which 
adults make for themselves and parents make for their kids. TV folks are 
in business and they are going to produce what people watch and 
advertisers buy into. If parents don't like the choices out there for 
their kids, then they should make sure their kids don't watch it.

No it isn't. There has always been a HUGE amount of crap on TV. Always. 
Just seems worse because there are more channels now.

So, TV is to blame for all of society's ills? I gotta disagree with 
that.

But they did grow up with Amos 'n Andy on the radio which most families 
never missed. Nothing like a little bigotry after dinner.

If you feel this way then why have the TV's there at all? Take 'em  out 
of the house. Me? I'm going to continue to enjoy my TV. I love it and I 
think it is an im****tant part of our culture, warts and all.
