Here we go ...
*DESK CHAT, ACT II HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT*
I'm going to say that the 'Desk Chat, Act II Highlight of the Night' was
.... Dave discussing the pre-show Q-n-A. (A woman from Athens, GA, asked
Dave whether he remembered the quilt her aunt gave him. Dave did indeed
remember it. He said it was a beautiful, handsewn quilt, and he was
grateful to have it. The woman went on to ask Dave whether he remembers
anything 'weird' that people have given him. No, but this did remind
Dave of the time they gave away a canned ham to a particular audience
member. One day, the Show got word that the guy's canned ham had
exploded. It seems he kept the canned ham a long time. Un-refrigerated.
Dave says that's what *happens* when you store a canned ham like that.)
After the break, we took a look at Andy Kindler's recent visit to a
tattoo parlor. There was a bunch of other stuff as well, including a
look at Barbara Walters' new book. (One entry in the index: "Dudes, ***
With ... ") We also had a TTL: 'Signs There's Trouble at The Weather
Channel.'
*EMILE HIRSCH*
The film is "Speed Racer."
*DIRK ARTHUR*
His is not mere magic -- it's 'xtreme [sic] magic.' I felt sorry for the
duck and the tiger.
*TOM DREESEN*
He's got a MySpace page. That's all I got.
*MISCELLANEOUS MEANDERING*
What's happenin', people? I'm considering renting a 'room' at the
McKibbin lofts in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Anybody interested in
possibly being my roommate? We won't have much privacy, but we'll have
each other.
That's all I got, for now. Have a good Thursday, people.
Later ...
