I'm going to say that the 'Desk Chat Highlight of the Night' was ...
Dave reminiscing about the time he had lunch with some CBS executives.
(During the pre-show Q-n-A, a guy from Australia asked Dave whether he
ever did such a thing; he asked Dave whether he ever socialized with CBS
executives. Dave's response: knowing laughter. A little later, Dave
talked about the one time he *did* go to lunch with some network
executives. Dave said because they were network executives, they could
get drunk at lunch. Unlike him, who had a show to do later that day. And
when it came time to pay the check? Suddenly none of them -- none of the
network executives -- could locate their wallets.)
After the break, we had a TTL: 'Surprising Things About Barack Obama,'
as presented by Senator Barack Obama.
There was a bunch of other stuff as well, including Dave going into a
trance to summon the spirit of Abraham Lincoln.
