Same here - I don't understand it. Though I also dislike the UK children's

book covers too... grumble, whinge...

When I read the books, I usually hear the characters voices and see them
in
my mind's eye. The exception is obviously Dd, where sometimes Michael
Gambon
intrudes, and I have to reread the paragraph to remind myself how Richard
Harris would have sounded, particularly in the later books. It's curious
(and annoying!) how gradually Gambon intrudes more in HBP and DH, except
in
the King's Cross scene where he doesn't stand a chance, it's pure Harris -
I
guess I'm Harris's man, through and through :)

Bellatrix changed a bit once I'd seen her in OotP, but (probably contrary
to
most people's views?) Helena Bonham Carter (over)acts it wonderfully - my
mental images of the character immediately incor****ated HBC as a great
improvement on my own interpretation!
