FST on "The Early Show"

by "Chris Trask" <christrask@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Aug 8, 2003 at 03:37 PM

Wednesday morning I was listening to "The Early Show" while going
through my email. One of the articles they were covering was about a
sculptor at the Iowa State Fair who was making sculptures out of
5-year-old
butter. I wasn't paying much attention until they panned back to the
studio
and one of the announcers said "Yes, and they have a life-sized replica of
the Taj Mahal made entirely out of oleomargarine." Needless to say, the
show got my complete attention. I don't know the name of the announcer.

This is not the first time that I have heard a quote or reference to
FST
on television or radio. Last year, on an NPR quiz show, they were trying
to
give a caller a clue to the answer to a question about a recent news
event.
After many tries, one of the announcers gave the clue "We're all one of
these on the bus." The question had to do with the death of Bozo the
Clown.
None of the other announcers knew anything about FST, but the caller did
and
he got the answer right away.
