Thanks for the reply.
I was first introduced to FST in about '71 while at college and it was a
great cult following. While on vacation in Maine a few years back, I was
chatting with the manager of the Inn we were staying at. She, at one point
was kidding about and said, "shoes for industry." Now the conversation to
this point had nothing to do with FST, but I replied, "don't give up your
shoes." We both laughed at the implausible meeting of two fans in the
wilds
of Maine. My wife of 30 years didn't know what the heck we were talking
about and simply assumed that we were both completely bonkers.

| Re: How long is this group around?
| I've been dropping by here for over two years, and at first there was a
| lot of hype from this big guy calling himself Tiny Doctor Tim, but he
| wasn't really in the FST (firesign theatre), but you couldn't tell who
| he was until you visited his website, http://www.tinydrtim.com,
which is
| closed now. He did regularly post the firesign's lengthy and insecure
| IRC (internet relay chatroom) scripts or dialogs, but you couldn't
| really be sure that was really the FST (firesign theatre) either. Could
| have been anybody, just goofing on the idea, or George Carlin's crazy
| competition routine, designed to bore people with the idea that other
| comedians are boring jerks. Oh well Buddy Hackett's dead so we can't
| speak suspiciously of him, even if his "woim stawrted woikin", but
| that's show biz. Visit http://www.rhino.com
to buy the Firesign's
| latest, or at CDNOW or Amazon.com, where you can write reviews of their
| recordings that shoppers can read.
| You get more Firesign from http://www.doctechnical.com
