Mountain Meadow Massacre turns 150 years old today

by "curmudgeon" <briticanlankey@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sep 11, 2007 at 12:21 PM

On this day September 11 in the year 1857, the so called Mountain Meadow
Massacre took place in what is now southern Utah.
When as many (or as few) 120 family members of an Arkansas immigrant wagon

train passing through were captured and slaughtered by Radical
Fundamentalist Mormons acting under orders from their Spiritual leader
Brigham Young.
All the men, women and children were put to death in order to protect the
Mormon way of life.
Only the very young were spares, because it was believed that they would
not
be able to remember this atrocity.
If only because they were deemed a threat to the future to the sovereign
state of Utah.
I wonder just how this Holy War is taught in Utah, if indeed it is even
taught ?
The so called Blood Atonement, has always been at the very heart of any
true
Mormons religious belief.
So the Mountain Meadow Massacre was both ordain and sanctified by GOD, or
so
any true Mormon will rationalize thus !
