Hulk, I don't think Elvis ever looked "his worse". Yes, there were times
when he looked heavier and times when he looked tired, etc. But, he
always looked good when I saw him. And pictures I have seen of his very
last concert 
would surely belie the claim that Elvis looked at death's door at that
time. As for him being so out of control when he died, take a look at
some pictures of him driving through the gates of Graceland on the night
before he died. Does he look like a man facing death? I say, no, he
didn't. 
I know the 77 Concert is said to show him looking fat and sick. But, I
think he looked good in some of the footage, heavier; but good. Some
footage did show him to be tired; but, he probably was. Those tours
would be 
grueling for anyone. TMO.
