Mariah's a good singer, (and easy on the eyes, too), but she is not the
new Elvis, Garth is not the new Elvis, there IS no new Elvis. Not even
the self-proclaimed "king of pop", Michael Jackson. Note: Elvis never
asked (or demanded) anyone call him the "King of rock and roll". MJ
insists on it. Talk about ego! He could learn a lesson in humility from
Elvis. The music biz is going down, anyway, I don't think anyone will
ever sell the amount of records sold by Elvis, the Beatles, or the other
icons of the last 50 years. The younger generation expects to get their
music for free, so they just go to the online download sites. Us
slightly - ahem - older folks may still prefer the physical product, but
I suppose that will change, too.
