Elvis did a meet and greet at Amoeba records when Delivery Man was
released. He did a short performance in the store, the place was
packed, and then I waited the half hour or so in line for the
op****tunity to meet him.
Having seen him perform more than twenty five times in my life, I must
admit it was quite a thrill to actually meet him, if only for a few
moments. I told him how much enjoyment his work had given me over the
years, and he seemed genuinely appreciative. It was an absolute horde
of people, so he kept things pretty short, but it was wonderful to
shake hands and say hi to one of my all time favorites. I'd put it up
there with meeting Bruce and Bono.
