punk rock (inclusive of melodic punk and 80s hardcore). indie rock (wow,
nice broad term there). 70s roots reggae and 60s jamaican ska. emo[core]
(as it was constituted in the late 80s and mid to middle-late 90s, not
as it is constituted by stupid stereotypes and stupid missapplication of
the already stupid term "emo"). girlie indie pop. some classic rock. a
small amount of heavy metal. weirdo stuff (captain beefheart, the
residents, jandek, negativland). i also love the Beatles and Bob Dylan
and Billy Bragg and Elvis Costello & the Attractions.
Frank Zappa is my favorite.
That's about as brief an answer as I can provide without saying "um, I
like lots of stuff" (though I do) and as accurate an answer as I can
provide without just giving you a list of 7500 different bands / artists.
