At this point he can never become a pop star because he has played so many 
different genres that no one who likes some of his stuff can like it all, 
so he's not going to have as single-minded fans as artists who stick with 
one style their whole career.

But isn't he selling a half million or so of everything, and isn't that 
pretty big these days? He isn't the Beatles, but who is?
