Wow, you've just named all my favorite songs off that album. You're a
deeply disturbed man. :-)
The trick to enjoying "My Science Fiction Twin" is that it captures the
embarassment you feel when you look back onto the dreams of your youth,
and it does so with the embarassingly bad chorus. It makes you wince
uncomfortably and feel bad for EC for creating such a juvenile little
jingle. It's really a stunning accomplishment, and I cannot think of
another song that so uniformly evokes a feeling of embarassment in its
listeners.

My favorite off this album!
> THE DELIVERY MAN: "Nothing Clings Like Ivy."
Again, my favorite song!
MY AIM IS TRUE: "Pay it back" -- I cannot even remember a bit of this
song, it completely failed to make an impression.
THIS YEAR'S MODEL: "Living in Paradise"
ARMED FORCES: "Two Little Hitlers" -- I cannot think how many times I
have skipped over this song.
GET HAPPY: "Secondary Modern" -- another song I cannot recall.
TRUST: Hmm, difficult since I love it start to finish. "Luxembourg" I
guess.
ALMOST BLUE: "Honey Hush" -- hard to pick just one.
IMPERIAL BEDROOM: "Little Savage"
PUNCH THE CLOCK: Oh, how I loathe this album. "The Element Within Her"
is the standout bad song, but only because it is the only song I know
that would be improved by having someone randomly shouting "Cesium!" or
"Carbon!" Although, in a way, that makes me like it.
GOODBYE CRUEL WORLD: Why do I love this album so? If I had to pick the
worst song, I'd go with "Love Field", because it keeps making me thing
of magnetic fields and force diagrams.
KING OF AMERICA: "Little Palaces". The only song on the album that did
not get it's tune in my head upon reading the title.
BLOOD AND CHOCOLATE: "Next Time Around", same reason.
SPIKE: "Baby Plays Around". Just boring.
MIGHTY LIKE A ROSE: Chock full of goodness, this one. But, whenever I
head "After The Fall", I'm just waiting for the next song.
KOJAK: "Days"
BRUTAL YOUTH: "Sulky Girl" -- if it were shorter, I'd love it, but it
isn't.
JULIET LETTERS: "Why?"
ALL THIS USELESS BEAUTY: "Why Can't A Man Stand Alone?"
PAINTED FROM MEMORY: Toss up between "The Sweetest Punch" and "The Long
Division", but I'd give it to the latter.
WHEN I WAS CRUEL: Either "Dust", "Dust 2" or "Disolve" -- and I cannot
tell you which is which.
THE DELIVERY MAN: "Bedlam"
