How cool...I saw him as he was coming out of the Fox Theatre after my
first time seeing him in 1984 on the "Goodbye Cruel World" tour...I
didn't get close enough to say hello, but he did chat for several
minutes and signed a few autographs before leaving.
I've seen a number of shows since, and he has done a few odd
things...like having a main set of maybe 10 songs and leaving, then
coming back for four encores of 3 to 4 songs each, making the encores
almost twice as long as the main set. Then I've seen him play almost
three hours and leave without any encore, but usually it's just been a
main set of about two hours, then maybe a 30 or 40 minute encore.
Except for the first one, which was pretty early on, he's always been
pretty talkative and friendly seeming.
