I searched the web and the purchase is from 1983.  The tram was 
trans****ted to England and put on his land.  I've read that it is an 
office for his present partner.  It would need weather proofing.  I have 
no idea if he has land in Melbourne, though I doubt it.  I'm still not 
sure what colour it was though. It was a W2 class tram numbered 520 
(whatever that means).  He actually cited it as his most extravagant 
purchase in one interview and it was from his 'cocaine days'.
He said it was fairly easy to trans****t to England but difficult to 
trans****t to his land.
