One More Arrow was the last one where he sings a long phrase
(actually, the whole song was pretty much sung in falsetto).
He does in fact hit a falsetto note in "Can't Keep this from you" -
and he hit a few during the '99 solo tour. On both Sweet Painted Lady
(nothing IS said), and Elton's Song (i know what i FEEL). And those
were in fact falsetto. There's no "fake" falsetto. It either is or it
isn't. Not to be confused with singing high notes. Elton can still get
up to most of the higher notes of his heyday, it's just the timbre is
different - he "sounds" lower now, and the high notes are rougher
sounding. And his smooth sliding into his amazing falsetto is gone.
