It's not a tough distinction and I'm not the one with a comprehension
problem.

What I understand is that *I* am discriminated against because others who
share the XX chromosome configuration make the choices THEY want, which
causes those who have the XY chromosome configuration to assume that *I*
have made those same choices, will cause them them same problems, and thus
deserve to be passed over for promotions and paid, on the average, 80% of
what a man doing the same job is paid. I will have to work harder to earn
the same degree of respect that is automatically accorded to men.

It's not just that I understand it, it's that I live it every day.
