well............''some'' things anyway.....
I was there on my honeymoon and saw The Red Piano 3 nights in a
row....including the birthday show. I had seats for all 3 shows on the
second row. Met up with some wonderful fans that was alot of fun. My
hubby
really enjoyed these shows as well. He is a real trooper! He made it to
the stage with me each night. Bless his heart............
The sound is impeccable in the Coliseum at Caesars. It sure is a pleasure
to hear Elton in a building MADE for music and not ice hockey for a
change!
;-) Thank you to Clive and everyone involved. We fans certainly
appreciate your efforts.
I met Davey Johnstone in the Elton store one afternoon. He was in there
shopping with his family. He graciously posed for a picture and
autographed
my ticket as I had a chance to talk to him for a bit. He was very
friendly
and polite. Thanks Davey!
We did some light gambling, won some $$ and used part of that towards some
of our tickets. My hubby said, ''its only money, we are here, lets do
it!"
That almost sounds like it could be on a t-****rt in Vegas, eh?? lol!!!!
So
we did it.....and since we may not get back to Vegas anytime soon...we
enjoyed each show! Whatta guy!
At the birthday concert, since I made it to the stage with my 2nd row
seats,
I mouthed to Elton..."we love you" and patted my heart and smiled. He
mouthed in-between verses, "thank you"....and smiled back. My hubby gave
me
a little squeeze & pat on the back seeing me interact with Elton that way.
He knows what a fan I am...and how much a little thing like that meant to
me. Later, as Elton exited the stage, I stood from my seat, went to the
stage with my hand stretched out and he gave me a
personal-firm-full-handshake and smile. :-))) Elton is the only performer
of his stature I can think of that allows fans on the stage for a song,
and
on his regular tours signs autograph's for his fans.
The setlist was slightly different from when I saw Elton in 2005 there.
He
dropped "I Want Love" & "Answer in the Sky" and replaced them with
"Someone
Saved My Life Tonight" & "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road". Elton continues to
play with passion and perfection. Amazing. Yes, it's a hits only
show...but from the 1st note of "Bennie" to the last note in "Your Song"
made for a very special couple of evenings for me and my husband.
Thanks Elton, and Happy (belated) Birthday.
~Lynn :-)
