Need help with escape pod!

Hello everybody!
Maybe I just lost in the manual of FFE but there's a small problem I'd 
like to solve: I was roaming in my Boa freigter when I pushed the escape 
pod button. I was drifting slowly near an orbital space station and so I 
saw my freighter before me as I was manouvering my pod!

It was fun to "orbit" around my space****p but then I wanted to get back 
in my capt. seat and... I realize I don't know how to do it!

So the question is: is there a way to get back to the mother****p with an 
escape pod?
Or I just lose the ****p?
