Nicely put! I once got verbally beaten up by an old lady for saying
"I'll try my best".
She politely, but firmly, told me that trying was for failures, and
only To Do, not to 'try' :)
So, to bring this back on topic, was tRoA DE's attempt to try a stand
alone fantasy novel? And if so, I'd say he did his best with the
Losers, Regina's Song, etc
