When I first started reading the Belgariad, it was from old books at
my school library and I pronounced the word as gromlin. Some time
later, I was reading my own books (later versions) and noticed that it
is actually grolim. I assumed that I misread it the first time and
had just kept repeating the mistake. Recently though, I saw it spelt
'gromlim' once in the prologue to Guardians of the West and decided to
do some internet searching in my idle time. A few other people have
written gromlin, but only a handful. So, is gromlin completely wrong,
or was that the original spelling? I can't check for myself as I
don't go to the school anymore.
