I don't mean this to be as *****y as it sounds, but I wouldn't be
surprised if Big Dave gets diagnosed with a slow onset case of
Alzheimers or something similar.

This is probably my own mortality talking - I would rather something
else is affecting his writing ability then just old age, because I
don't want my own wits and creative ability to fade like his seem to
have!

Alternatively, I hope he's just rich and lazy and couldn't be bothered
trying anymore and he knew that the readers would buy any old turkey's
he churned out. Although I've not bought any of his new works since I
read the first Dreamers book, but I'd probably still buy a pretty
reissue of the Losers if one came out :)

I'm sorry, but it's not 'bad luck' if you throw a lit piece of paper
in a puddle of petrol/gasoline and start a fire! Even he admits it was
dumb...

I was sad to hear about Leigh though.

It would be cruel of me to wonder what effect her passing will have on
his writing, wouldn't it? I'm assuming he might stop though...
