Whilst the beginning of the Mallorean held you more in suspense regarding 
the kidnapping of the child, the end was a bit naff.  The Place Which Is
No 
More turned out to be a bit of a letdown.

The Tamuli wasn't as good as The Elenium as this was the turning point to 
when Eddings started to create the side of light so unbelievably powerful 
that everything was simply a walk in the park.  With the Tamuli, he was
able 
to botch Zalasta as the bad guy, but all subsequent series afterwards,
they 
turned out to be disasters.
