As the father of a thirteen year old, I can honestly say that I have
nothing but the purest of empathy with Polgara's position.

"Hey, kid, I'm only trying to save the entire universe from the Dark
Prophecy here. I have half a dozen people with names writ large in the
stars who I need to manipulate into doing the right thing. Do you think
you can shut up with the whining and let me concentrate?"
