Polgara is insensitive throughout the entire series, but only really to 
Garion. Towards everybody else, including Ce'Nedra at her worse, she is 
nothing but courteous.

I'm not including PtS in this, and my memory may well be playing tricks, 
  but my wife agrees so I must be right.
