Anyone else realised yet that nothing you currently have installed on
your PC will work with Windows Vista?
Not only will you need to sell a kidney to buy the damn thing, but
you'll then have to sell the other kidney to upgrade your PC to run it
and then replace every essential bit of kit you have.
Nice to know Microsoft have extensively tested Vista before releasing
it. Shame they released an upgrade advisor which basically tells you
that you might as well wait a year or two until everyone catches up and
makes their software compatible.
I've heard (although if it's true, it's almost so stupid that I believe
it) that Vista's voice recognition software can be exploited by any
joker who sends you an audio file that says "delete my do***ents, delete
recycle bin" and it will dutifully comply if you have a microphone
that hears the audio file being played.
Having said that, I've bought it just out of sheer spirit of adventure
and it's about time I upgraded everything. And cos I'm a twat with a
£10,000 limit on my credit card. And both my kidneys are ****ed anyway.
