Whew! Thank gods. If you hadn't posted all the latest news on Eddie this
newsgroup would have been pointless other than a meeting place for
people with a similar interest to talk about things and socialise. What
a nightmare!
If only someone would invent a global, easily accesible media where
people could search for things they are interested in and find them out
for themselves...
Science fiction, or science fact?! Fingers crossed! Maybe in a hundred
years, perhaps when telephones can be used without wires and...wait,
I've had an epiphany...if...maybe....these wireless telephones...and
maybe televisions....could...access this global media too...and people
could find things out...without someone handing it to them on a plate?!?
Jeez! A world where people used their brains, instead of eating them!

p.s. I saw this crazy science fiction film where people could see each
other on a screen when they talked on the telephone. I think it had
Buster Crabb in - the guy who plays Tarzan - and he had a "space****p"
that left the planet and went to other planets. I know it's a bit
far-fetched, but what would we do with such mind-boggling technology? I
bet famine and world peace would be sorted out straight away.
