Once again, you've exemplified what honest, investigative,
fearless journalism is all about.

You certainly have had the courage to call a spade a spade.

Brilliantly, I might add.

Sadly, except for a very few exceptions -- like yourself --
investigative journalism would have been dead and buried
long ago.

This, of course, is the desire of the gutless major media and
the federal lawmakers who love money more than their concern
for the health and welfare of the people they're supposed
to represent and protect.
<
It's obvious that the vast, vast majority of members of Congress --
Congressmen and Senators, both Republican and Democrats --
are money-grabbing whores. It's the ONLY reason they're
in office. They couldn't give two ****s about you or me, except
at re-election time.
<
"Screw the American people" is their secret slogan. And it's
why Edward R. Murrow must be spinning in his grave.
<
Let's make these law-making turds think twice before they accept
even one dollar from the health-care and pharmaceutical industries --
or from any other private interest group that has been consistently
feeding them thousands of dollars with reckless abandon in an
effort to control their vote.
<
That said, here's a sure-fire solution to end the monumental
butt-piercing that the American people are receiving from the
health-care system, slowly but surely turning the U.S. into a Third
World country.
<
Congress MUST pass a law that the acceptance of a bribe of
even a single dollar carry a penalty, if convicted, of automatic
expulsion from public office. And that definitely includes any and all
campaign contributions.
<
Hell, let's even add some mandatory prison time for good measure,
and three to five years sounds rather reasonable -- but in a prison,
not some plush Rest Haven.
<
Let the corrupt politicians who wind up behind bars get a taste of how
it feels to get a good screwing.
<
My only wish is that, when they bend over to pick up the bar of soap
they dropped in the shower, the inmate standing next to them is even
better hung than Big John Holmes.

Better still, I wish he was their cell mate.
