Regular sized trains, very long photos. One that I saved is
340 pixels tall and 16,800 pixels long. Basically it seems to
be a special camera that takes full-length roll of film
photos. Probably a slit to let a narrow band of light in, then
scroll the roll of film as the train goes by. That would explain
the odd bluring.

This site has some javascript to scroll the photos, I ended up
viewing them without it.
