Nothing to add to the previous replies. I'm just confused by a general
rule never to reread a book.

Sure, I get the "so many books, so little time" angle, and acknowledge
that time becomes more precious as we near the end of the road, as it
were, but still....
The books I have read and loved are like old friends. I don't know of
anything more enjoyable than getting back together with them every few
years or so. ;)
