PIE? Well, yeah, in a general sort of way. Reconstruction is
interesting, but it's increasingly speculative the further back you
go. I'm interested in the ways languages change, on their own and as a
result of contact with other languages. And I'm also into turning the
clock the other way. ;D
One Dune-related pet project I'm trying to build up steam for is
"Imagining Galach". Been doing a little bru****ng up on my Russian in
preparation, trying to jot down the various sociological (and
technological!) factors that would come into play, and come up with a
rough timeline.
