you also need a lamp over it to keep it warm and lots of newspaper to keep
it clean

NO - it will die
Take it to your nearest rescue centre of any description - failing that
phone your local vets adn feedstores and find SOMEONE who has birds or is
likely to be able to care for it properly

 Mum won't let us keep it ;D
