Like they're nothing? No, it took a great deal of effort on the part of
the dead Z-fighters. Yamucha: "hey, these guys are great fighters!".
What's more, they only seemed to take control of the fight after Goku
seemed to have won against Frieza.
Since we're discussing the tv-series instead of the manga, the level
of dead-Yamucha at the time of his fight with the GF was surpassed by
Vegeta sometime between his eating the bean Goku gave him when he first
arrived on Namek, and his confrontation with Jeise; same thing with
Gohan. I just don't know about Krillin, since he's not Saiyan and being
nearly killed, in itself, doesn't give him a power-boost.
