says:

42 degree Celsisus = 107.6 degree Fahrenheit

42 degeee Fahrenheit = 5.555... degree Celsius

So, 42F is pretty cold for a normal day, whereas 42C is rather hot. 
(Isn't 42 degree Celsius the temperature where human proteins start to 
denaturated, making fewer above this critical?)
