DOC IN THE BLOCK

by Dave <mattie04@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Dec 20, 2007 at 04:57 AM

Ran a DOC check on e-bay this AM. Only 156 items, which I think is
the lowest number I've ever seen, and I've been checking since 1998.

Of course, this is the lowest market time of the year for
collectables, which is a factor.

About 20% of what was listed were pulps from a single dealer. Prices
seemed high, but maybe worth it for condition, but then, I'm notorious
for avoiding high-end stuff ("If masking tape I see, it's coming home
with me!").

Lots of bidding on a collection of ALL the DOC doubles. Frankly, it's
cheaper to buy the four original pulps than 125 and 126.

Lots of comics, from all eras, with the prices you'd expect for
commons. Dealers have realized that DOC SAVGE does not get premium
pricing in comics.

Biggest potential steal -- OMNIBUS 13, with a $3.50 opening, and no
takers as yet
