Some of the later ones almost felt as though they were.
At least one of them went along the lines of "Doc Savage was scared. He
knew the
man he was after could very well kill him."
Although it's not a first person narrative, it gives us too much info
about
what's going on in Doc's head, and I think that's why the later ones don't
come
up much on "my favorite" lists even though many Doc fans cite this era as
some
of Dent's best writing.
