The third new Disney Television Animation series of this season
premieres this Friday, January 21, at 8PM on the Disney Channel.

From the looks of the website the premise seems to be a Martial Arts
Harry Potter, and the artistic style seems a copy of "Xiaolin Showdown"
of all things. Jake Long ( bummer of a porn star name, man :-) ) is a
13-year-old skateboarder who discovers he's some guardian of all the
magical creatures that live in New York City. One of the preview videos
in the website shows mermaids, gargoyles, leprachauns and whatnot
running societies parallel to the humans. An added detail, he can also
transform into a dragon morph.
The creator is Jeff Goode. Goode is best known as the creator of "MTV
Undressed". According to his website http://www.jeffgoode.com/
he's
written a lot of plays both for kids and for adults. But I don't think
he's ever worked in a cartoon before.
