Just sat and watched it again ... it was actually much better than I'd
expected, after listening to everyone bash the movie for 20 years! :)
I thought they did not a bad job at all condensing the story. I
remember someone commenting that they pulled the whole Silver & Gold
segment, but at least Merker was ID'd as the spy. What I didn't
remember was that Hoss played Merker. Scary thing was that I had to
check IMDB to figure out what role Alec Guiness played - didn't
recognize him as Bigalow.
I *really* wish I'd been able to find a blank tape before it started
tonight. :( This was the second (and final) showing on Bravo.
Ah well ... thanks again for letting us know it was on!
