Funny you should say that. I watched is last night on one of the channels
on Sky (I'm in the UK). It's over 20 years since I've seen it as well.
It
was that film that ignited my interest in Cusslers work, and all things
Titanic.
Compared to the book (which is one of my favorites) it is poor - but when
has a big screen adaption of a book been a success? Not too often!
One thing struck me though, the acting seemed *stiff*, there was no
enthusiasm for the characters by the actors (does that make sense?), and
the
special effects, although cutting edge at the time, now seem poor in
comparison to todays standards; but I shouldn't compare like that.
I enjoyed watching it, I can think of worse ways to spend a couple of
hours!
