It's been a while since I read Sahara but I'm thinking if the villians are
dark
skinned Africans there could be some picketing, protests, yada yada yada
by
various PC groups. I remember when they made the Raise The Titanic movie
the
Soviets publically *****ed about being made the villians and the producers
toned down the villiany of the Soviets in the finished movie.
It's been 15 years since I saw the movie but there seemed to be no reason
for
the Russians to even be in the movie as they didn't take over the raised
Titanic, the screenwriters removed the whole Silver and Gold subplot.
