I just have to comment on the odd combination of newsgroups. They
all can be made to FIT, but I hadn't even KNOWN there was a Dirk Pitt
group. I hope Cussler stops writing his Pitt stories; I feel he peaked
a while back (Treasure), and the finale of the last one I read
(pulling a blank on the title, oddly -- Valhalla? Viking? -- the one
featuring the Nautilus among other things) felt like closure for Pitt.
(I don't feel Cussler actually "jumped the Shark" because I can't
point to an individual book where he just dropped off the map, I just
find that he's done everything he possibly could with the character,
and picked up some annoying writing habits).
