I love the Dirk Pitt books!  But there have been a couple I just could
not get into:

- Raise the Titanic.  I read for a while, and felt that I was getting
nothing but a married couple squabbling.  I think Cussler got better
at leading off with action in later books.

- Inca Gold.  This one was moving along great, but then about 25% of
the way in, it seemed to resolve every conflict that interested me and
tried to get me interested in new stuff.  Maybe I should have stuck
with it, but I just, well, didn't.

Still, I've finished about 6, 7 or 8 Dirk Pitt books and had a great
time with all of them.  More than I can say for just about any other
book series!  :-)
