This is more or less his rant on tattoos taken from his CNBC show June
8, 2004. I transcribed it for someone, so I'm sharing it here.
Please forgive my errors...........
"Hey folks, let's cut to the chase on this tattoo epidemic. (I only
have one tattoo, it's on my ***** – it's of a smaller *****, for
perspective)……….You know, a tattoo used to be the virtual hand stamp
that allowed automatic entrance into society's bad-boy club (the
sinister inked black skull and crossbones prison tats on the bicep of
an outlaw biker who rams your head into the wheel-well of your Prius).
Today's tattoos are "body art", fa****on accessories where you're more
likely to see a pod of frolicking dolphins jumping over rainbows
nestled in the cleavage of your grandmothers chubby homecare provider,
or the suburban teen at your local Ben and Jerry's who is so adorned
with Maori tribal insignia he looks like Queegqueg attacking the
Chunky Monkey with a broken harpoon. And with the low-rise jeans
these days, you see so much tatted-up back meat you just can't tell
whether you're in line at Starbucks or the showers at Riker's Island.
You know tattoos used to be a way to stick out, now they seem like a
way to fit in. While drunkenness and gang affiliation are still
popular motivators, they've been bumped out of the top spot by, "
‘cause Kimmie got one! ".
Hey, so all you mall angels out there, if you really want to be a
rebel, pull that bolt out of your tongue, pull up your pants, and join
the Marines."
