I'm trying to like Dennis Miller's new show, but it just isn't cutting it
I'm
afraid.  I do like Bill Maher's new show - and I like that he's not
restricted
to sending up consertatives, but makes some pretty funny jokes against the
liberals as well.  I think Dennis needs an audience.  I understand that
he's
trying to do something different, but I don't think it is working for him.
 

Also, there seems to be something subtly desperate about his
pro-Republican
positioning - especially when he's faced with a person who is putting
forth a
convincing, lucid, logical opinion that is not Bush friendly.  It makes me
suspicious that Miller has signed something that requires him to try to
counter
- even if he doesn't have anything intelligent (or otherwise) to say.

I hope he cleans things up.  Gets a live audience.  Makes it more
interesting. 
I'm a fan of his and I want to want to watch.
