Stars Join ET & The Red Cross: The PSAs

September 8, 2005

Hurricane Katrina has left thousands in the Gulf Coast without
food, water and shelter and now stars like DAVID DUCHOVNY,
TERI HATCHER, MORGAN FREEMAN and rocker ROB THOMAS are coming
forward to take part in a series of very special public
service announcements.

"In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, the lives of hundreds of
thousands of Americans have been left in ruins," Oscar winner
Freeman says in one spot. "These people need your help.
The American Red Cross provides disaster victims with food,
shelter, clothing, counseling and more. Your sup****t for the
American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund will help the victims
of Hurricane Katrina, along with thousands of other disaster
across the country each year."

Along with Freeman and Thomas, stars like JOAQUIN PHOENIX,
JOHN SCHNEIDER and legendary singer AARON NEVILLE are also
taking part in the PSAs put together by Entertainment
Tonight and The American Red Cross.

Freeman is also using his star power to help raise funds
for one of the biggest relief auctions in history. The
Southern-born actor has partnered with the Red Cross
and the organization Charity Folks for the auction that
was kicked off on Friday. For more info, click here

Many other stars have donated to The American Red Cross,
including DIDDY, JAY-Z, CELINE DION and Oscar winner

$1 million donations each!
