His Thing: Made a movie--a labor of love, really.
Had high hopes. Watched them get crushed.

Why You Must Read It: Back in February, Duchovny launched the
tie-in blog for his movie House of D. He chronicled everything
from the writing of the script to attending the annual
distributor's convention ShoWest. But as he got deeper into
the business end of the business, Duchovny began to punctuate
less and worry more. There was the anxious opening day,
the struggle to get on more screens and, finally, the admission
that it didn't reach as wide an audience as he'd hoped.
Talk about an unhappy ending.
