Dunno about "ineffective", either. Gun control is box office poison
for
the Democrats, and they're studiously not talking about it, after it
lost
them the election in 1994, 2000, and maybe 2004.

Plus that whole supreme court victory thing, after many years of
toiling in law reviews.
