BO2k Question (Problem with Norton)

by pilant <pilant@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 13, 2005 at 12:40 AM

Hi, I got a problem,
I'm trying to install Bo2k on some of my machines on the network but I
have Norton installed on them. Norton screams it's a TROJAN! We know
it's not but what can I do? The Bo2k code is open source, so it should
be possible to modify it slightly so that AV's don't detect it as a
virus? I'm not going to spread it around so there shouldn't be a
patch/virus definition made available for it in the future and I could
safely update my Nortons.

Any suggestions as to which part of the code is being interpreted as a
trojan? I know there've been a lot of variants, but still where should
I look at, to achive my goal with least modifications? I can program
in C, so if somebody could give me a few pointers it would be greatly
appreciated!

Thanks!
